Transfer Caboose

Up ]

Scratcbuilt transfer caboose #101 at Norwood Yard on Marv Preussler's GB&W layout.

The HO scale model is primarily built from 0.040" styrene; the roof is made from aluminum.  Marv added details from Detail Associates -- including all-weather windows, coupler lift bars, curved side grab irons, end grab irons and air hoses.  The end railings and brakewheel assemblies are from a Walthers kit.  The trucks came from an Atlas caboose, and the couplers are Kadee #58.  He painted the model with Scalecoat Erie Lackawanna yellow, decaled it with  DM Decals and sprayed rust and roof brown on it for weathering.
