GB&W section crew at Scandinavia.

This photo come from a 1987 calendar/postcard.  It shows a turn-of-the century section crew at Scandinavia, photo by H.C. Benke.

At the time of the photo, the Iola & Northern interchanged with the GB&W at Scandinavia.  In a few years the Waupaca - Green Bay Railroad would build to the south from the same location, making this a busy junction on the railroad.

What a great photo!  Seven men on two handcars -- these are the people who kept the Green Bay Route running from day to day.

In the background you can see the water tower and depot.

H.C. Benke photo, ca. 1900
