Certificate for forty-two shares of the Green Bay & Western Railroad Company.
It has an interesting vignette of a locomotive and a man on horseback. The stock certificate was signed by City Bank Farmers Trust Company on April 12, 1946 -- exactly eighty years to the day after the charter of the original Green Bay & Lake Pepin Railway was granted!
My certificate was for 42 shares. Certificates for round lots of 100 shares were similar in layout, but were green, as in this 1949 certificate for 100 shares.
I hope to display it in my model railroad room, if my fictional Green Bay & Waupaca Railroad ever progresses far enough! I bought this certificate through Yesterday's Paper, San Juan Capistrano CA.
