Locomotive rosters for all Green Bay Route lines.

These rosters are based primarily on information in The Story of the Green Bay and Western (Sprecht & Sprecht, 1966) and Green Bay & Western (Mailer, 1989).  There are some conflicts in information between the sources, especially in the fleet in the pre-GB&W years before 1896.

Diesel Roster   Steam Roster

This roster is a combined listing of all roads in the Green Bay Route:

  • Green Bay & Western (GB&W).  Locomotives listed prior to 1896 were on the rosters of GB&W predecessor lines, the Green Bay & Lake Pepin (1866-1874), the Green Bay & Minnesota (1874-1881), and the Green Bay, Winona & St. Paul (1881-1896).
  • Ahnapee & Western (A&W).
  • Iola & Northern (I&N).
  • Kewaunee, Green Bay & Western (KGB&W).
  • Waupaca - Green Bay (W-GB).
