Eastbound Train No. 2 crosses over the bridge in front of the Lake
Hubertus Dam at Hatfield, Wis.
The lead unit in this 1984 photo is one of the three ex-C&NW Alco RS-27's (#316-318) and the
trailing unit is one of the rebuilt "Hornell locos" (#319-322)
-- which were early production C-424's owned by predecessors to Conrail
and later rebuilt by GE in Hornell, NY before being sold to the GBW in
1980.
It's twelve years after the fall of the Burlington Route, but the
first car in the train today is a CB&Q boxcar.
